Subject Access Request Policy

Sign Solutions is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold, whether you are a direct service user, a contract client, an Interpreter, a trainer or a member of staff.

Our detailed Data Protection Impact Assessment is available on request, detailing the types of data we collect, the purpose, the length of retention and the security in place to protect that data we process and hold.

You have the right to access personal data and supplementary information to verify the lawfulness of the processing.

Requests for information will be provided free of charge.

A reasonable fee will only be charged if requests for information are found to be manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive. Any fees charged will be based on the administrative cost of providing the information.

Information requests will be provided without delay and at the latest, one month after receipt of the access request. This provision date will only be extended for complex or multiple requests and you will be informed within 1 month of the request of the reason for the necessary extension.

If requests are unreasonable we will write to you, within 1 month of the request to explain the reasons and advise that you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority and to a judicial remedy.

We will make attempts to verify your identity before releasing the information requested. If requests are made via electronic means we will deliver the information via this same medium.
